We have been talking about our Planning module. It’s taking shape well, and we will release it in the next few days (unless we hit some road blocks). So what can you expect from it? What will be included?
- We will have an Outline view to create project plan. With assignees, due dates and estimates. Similar to PlannerX.
- We are adding a “card view” to add ticket description, category and other details. Also pushing in a simple ticket workflow (new -> assigned -> resolved etc)
- A weekly iteration planner, that allows you to select from a list of incomplete tasks (backlog) and schedule them (via drag and drop) for immediate 3 weeks. (Update: We are skipping on iteration planner for now)
- And a Gantt view that shows your project plan
What will be the most valuable features for you? How much time do you think something like this can save you?

The Card View took much longer than we expected. We added many things to make the workflow easier. And some eye candy

-How can you back out of a project in plannerX to view a different project. Currently we have to log out and log back in.
-If your hosting plannerX is there an option to purchase it as a module for say $200.00 or $300.00 so i feel my projects are more private/??

1. There is an icon (with an arrow) next to save that allows changing projects. If you have only one project in your current Basecamp login, it will reload that project. If you have more, it will allow you to switch to another project.
2. PlannerX for Basecamp is a hosted only service. Our Planning module for activeCollab is something you can install on your own server.
Looking forward to having the outline view to create a project plan and the Gantt View to show it to my clients.

Just bought Activecollab and was stunned that it didn’t have a estimation feature. Sounds like you guys are going to make that.

We plan to release a beta version next week. You can try out how it will work from http://www.appsmagnet.com/acpm/ – though this demo not the latest version, it will give you a fair idea of how the module will work.
