I am looking for support on applying the Planning Module update to an activecollab installation version 2.3.

I am running the activecollab installation on Windows using xampp. My activecollab installation exists in a projects folder

I have purchased activecollab, we are very intrerested in the planner module, however, we need more from it like resource management and predecessors, not anywhere as complicated as MP but we need them all the same, can you help with the development of yoour product further.?

Hi Nigel,
We are considering support for resource management and dependencies. I can not promise a date on it, or whether we will add them, but we are certainly considering them.

Please download the latest 1.4.1 version, and upload files from the “for-upload-AC2.3″ folder to your server. You can review the readme file for further information.

Any updates on the Planning Module and the latest bug about users not being able to see the module. This is causing a huge issue for our users.

Thanks!

We are planning to release update in the coming week – near the end. That should solve this problem. Sorry for the delay…

Does this bug keep me and my team from using this tool? I’m looking to buy this tool today…should I wait until next week?

You may wait for a week. We have a new release coming.

Though, even if you purchase today, you will get updates for free for a full year.

Have noticed a bug with permissions on planner, any news on fix?

Is the current version 1.4.1 compatible with ac version 2.3.2 or will we have to wait for another update?
Thanks.

The current version of Planning module is version 1.5.1. And it does support AC 2.3.2. As a matter of fact, that’s our primary testing version now.

Sure i meant 1.5.1 :-)
Thanks for the quick reply.

My company is using activeCollab and we purchased the planning module. I’m trying to install it and I’ sorry to say that I’m a little confused. I see no acHacks file in the for-uploads directory. Also, when I copy the 3 directories (activecollab, config, and public) to the server – overwriting the existing folders as I think I’m being instructed to do, activecollab crashes. I’m sure that I’m missing something obvious???

Just looking to be put in the right direction.

Hi Robert,
Apologies for the trouble. There is no acHacks folder in the latest Planning module. I am updating our install documentation. These hacks are already included in the for-upload folder for your convenience.
When you FTP upload the files, and activeCollab crashes, what errors do you get? Please ensure you upload a version that matches your activeCollab version. So if you are using AC 2.3.2, use the “for-upload” folder. If you are using a version prior to that, but above AC 2.1.4, please use the “for-upload-2.1.4+” folder.
Feel free to contact us at support at appsmagnet dot com if you face any further problems.
