• How does acGarage work?
  We maintain a list of activeCollab, third party modules and their latest versions. acGarage checks with our repository once a day (via daily scheduled tasks) and checks if there is a new version of any of the installed products. If updates are found, activeCollab Administrators will see a notification message when they login to activeCollab and visit the main homepage / dashboard.
• I do not have cron / scheduled tasks running. Will this still work?
  If cron / scheduled tasks are running, acGarage can check for updates automatically. If they are not setup / running on your server, you can check for updates manually by going to acGarage option under activeCollab admin and clicking on the “Check Now” button.
• I do not see updates for all my third party modules. But I know there are new releases.
  acGarage checks new releases of all Apps Magnet products, activeCollab core, and any other third party module developers who agree to provide us information about their updates. We have already contacted all current activeCollab developers about providing us information about their products and latest releases. So if you don’t see their module in the upgrade list, it’s because they have not provided that information. Please ask your module developer to contact us and we can help get their modules in our system.
• What information does acGarage send to your server?
  acGarage sends a list of installed modules and their versions to Apps Magnet server. It does not send your server / license details / email addresses – or any other such sensitive information.
• Can acGarage download and install upgrades for me?
  If you want to automate the update process, sign up for acGarage Pro. acGarage Pro will keep your system up to date without any intervention from your side.
• Can acGarage find updates for hacks / themes?
  Not yet. We are in the process of migrating our hacks as modules. This will let you discover their updates via acGarage.
• Can I use acGarage on multiple servers?
  You can use acGarage on as many servers as you want.
• My server is behind a firewall / under a VPN / intranet. Will acGarage work with it?
  acGarage needs to check with Apps Magnet server on the Internet to find if there are updates available. As long as your webserver can make outgoing HTTP connections, acGarage will work.
