Upgrading

Sam asked a question about upgrading from Planning module 0.8 beta to 1.0 stable.

Here are upgrade instructions for Planning module. They apply to all versions.

Thank you Sam for asking that question. Here’s how you upgrade.

  1. Find the purchase confirmation email you received when you bought Planning module beta (or any earlier version)
  2. There will be a download link in that email
  3. Click on that link / open it in your browser. This same link will allow you to download the latest version of Planning module – always
  4. Download Planning module from the page that opens up
  5. Follow installation instructions in the readme.txt file.

    The only additional step in upgrade is to Uninstall Planning module from AC Admin before copying files and installing.

  6. Uninstall Planning Module using AC admin interface.
  7. Copy the latest version files to the server, go back to AC admin, and Install it.
  8. You may go back to Roles, and modify System Roles to give access to Planning module as needed. You can also configure Planning module using options in activeCollab admin.
  9. Clear your browser / AC cache (remove all files in the “compile” and “cache” folder of your activeCollab installation).
  10. Users you gave access to Planning module, will now start seeing Planning module as a Tab when you select a project.
  11. Everything else should just work now!
