Amazing product, it’s gonna rock!!!

2 Dextro February 16, 2009 at 8:01 am

Will it be compatible with version 2.0 of activeCollab?

3 AppsMagnet February 16, 2009 at 10:15 am

Version 2.0 has a different way of handling module installation. We are working on upgrading Reports module to v2. This upgrade will be available free to all Reports module customers.

In short, yes, Reports module will be compatible with activeCollab version 2. We will release the upgrade soon after activeCollab releases final version 2.0.

The Dashboard in ActiveCollab 1.xx does not work anymore after installing this module. The error i get is
Class ‘Projects’ not found in /var/www/activecollab/application/modules/system/controllers/DashboardController.class.php on line 44

Any idea on how to solve this?
By the way, uninstalling this module solves the problem…

5 AppsMagnet February 16, 2009 at 2:13 pm

Thanks for reporting this. We got two reports of this error today.

Will see what’s the problem and provide a fix at the earliest.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi. What if we would like to show these reports about Tasks (within Tickets) ?

We work more with Tasks, because of the heavy load of work, so I’m not interested in seeing stats about tickets, but rather on tasks.

9 appsMagnet Team February 25, 2009 at 11:34 am

Hi Rafi,

Showing reports on tasks is possible, but there are a few limitations.

  • Tasks don’t have categories – so the iterations chart is no longer possible
  • Hour chart already includes hours spent on tickets.
  • Showing details per task/ticket will be too much of data on the screen. That will defeat the purpose of keeping it simple.
  • In general, you can make modifications to the module for your own use. So you can fine tune it to show reports as you like.

HTH.

Hi there, i have a problem with the printing of reports, either print preview and the print function will split the charts for almost 20% ofthe right side.
The result is a printed chart without 20% of the right graphs.
Where can i modify the css in order to setup a larger preview/print screen?

regards

11 appsMagnet Team March 4, 2009 at 12:20 pm

Hi Lucian,

The latest version fixes printing problems, supports aC 2, and adds localization support (I know you’ve been waiting for it!) Go ahead and try it out.

Look forward to your feedback!

Hi, just trying to install the reports module, when I click on install I get the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /homepages/43/d280220482/htdocs/idscollab/activecollab/application/modules/reports/models/Reports.class.php on line 17

appreciate any help.

13 appsMagnet Team March 25, 2009 at 3:41 am

This is because the server is running PHP4. I sent you PHP4 version of the Reports class. That should fix the problem. We officially support PHP5+ for Reports module.

while running the initial ver2 betas, it worked but when i upgraded to 2.03, it stopped working. I uninstalled, deleted folders, reinstalled and it still does not appear as a “role” to be added to the users.

the DB shows this for the roles table.

Our installation of the module stopped working due to upgrade 2.1
We reported it several days ago but have not seen/heard anything…

16 appsMagnet Team May 4, 2009 at 3:57 am

Sorry for the delay. It was a long weekend here in India and we had a small vacation. Will be posting an update soon.

When trying to install the Reports module on AC 2.1, I get the following error. What’s wrong? (PHP5.2.5, mySQL 5.0.67)

Fatal error: Modules::require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/arprnqsi/public_html/ac2test/activecollab/application/modules/__MACOSX/MACOSXModule.class.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/arprnqsi/public_html/ac2test/activecollab/application/modules/system/models/modules/Modules.class.php on line 71

Thanks,

-Carl

Looks like while uploading the files, the __MACOSX folder is created in the “application/modules” folder. Please remove __MACOSX folder and try again.

19 Carl May 7, 2009 at 1:51 pm

That seemed to fix the problem.

Thanks,

-Carl

Next issue:

When trying to add the Reports module, I recieve the following error message:

We are sorry, but Reports module can’t be installed because:

1. OK: Tickets module is active.
2. OK: Scheduled tasks are active.
3. This module requires access to create/drop MySQL views. There was an error in testing this. Error: CREATE VIEW command denied to user ‘arprnqsi_crosenf’@'localhost’ for table ‘acx_view_temp’ Unknown table ‘acx_view_temp’

Please fix the errors listed above to be able to install this module.

This username has all db privs – what’s going on?

Thanks,

-Carl

Hi

Will the reports module include Gannt charts – or is that another module?

Best wishes

Jez

22 appsMagnet Team May 13, 2009 at 4:20 am

Our Planning module includes Gantt Charts. Planning module is available as a paid beta to all current and new Reports module customers. We will release it to everyone after we finish the beta period.

23 Dave May 13, 2009 at 2:51 pm

Do we have a Gantt Chart, Bug Tracking, Lightbox
and Project ticket hacks on for AC v2.1 already?

Where do we get that to download?
Thanks much..

Dave

24 appsMagnet Team May 14, 2009 at 4:42 am

Gantt Chart is part of our Planning module. Some of the project ticket hacks too are rolled into Planning module.

But we are still working on refining these hacks for ac 2.1. Plan to have them out next month.

25 Paul Roberts May 16, 2009 at 2:48 am

Really nice integration with AC2 and beautiful UI. You totally get it!

26 cysk May 27, 2009 at 9:36 am

How about showing different views? Zoom-in a specific view? Charts should be configurable by choosing the desired datasource and time period.

27 Proskurin Kirill June 23, 2009 at 9:01 am

Hello.

We searching a PM software and start to look at AC2. It is great but we need Gantt Chart – it is a killer feature for us.

We find your reporting plugin and as I understan your are near to complite a Planning module were it will be and offer it to current report planning users.

But could you make a video tour or live demo of it? If we can see what it is what we needed we will buy it.

Is it some ETA of out of beta status?

28 appsMagnet Team June 24, 2009 at 4:02 am

We are gathering customer feedback and fixing bugs right now. Planning module stable release will be out in second week of July. We have posted a few screenshot of it here, but don’t have a video yet. We will have a video and documentation as the stable version is released.

If you buy reports module now, you get a discount on Planning module and get one year upgrades free.

hi,

can you give me an help for my install problem of reports modul with the last version of ac.

thank you
jb m

31 appsMagnet Team July 3, 2009 at 4:59 am

@motte: Did you / your AC administrator get any email about the error? Can you go to config/config.php, set DEBUG value to 2 and try again?

@Joel: PlannerX does not support for undo / redo yet. But that’s certainly something we have in our plans.

For support on all our products, you can use http://getsatisfaction.com/appsmagnet. You can also click on the red feedback tag on right, and post your questions there.

32 Wakefly July 9, 2009 at 6:19 pm

We recently purchased your reports module and it works great. When we open access to clients the dropdown does filter and only so the projects that client has access too. But the default filters on the top “all projects” and the “group” filters still show all the data.

I would assume the “all project” and “group” filters were intended to only so the data for that client’s projects.

Do you have a fix?
Also, how do I purchase the planning module?

33 Sergey July 17, 2009 at 1:55 pm

Hello!
When will be able latest stable version PM for activecollab, including Gantt diagrams?

We wait for it

34 appsMagnet Team July 18, 2009 at 7:09 am

We are working on this. Sorry for the delay. Adding Pages and Checklist support (apart from Tickets) is taking longer than we thought! And we are also fixing bugs found in beta testing. Planning module will have Gantt chart support.

I know many people are anxiously waiting for this. Please give us few more days.

35 appsMagnet Team July 18, 2009 at 7:12 am

All Projects and Groups should still show projects visible only to that user. Will check on this, and fix if there is a problem.

36 Interface July 22, 2009 at 9:25 pm

We have been considering purchasing activeCollab for some time to replace the ongoing costs of Basecamp. What has finally swung the decision to purchase has been this reports module…great job!

37 Garrett August 11, 2009 at 1:34 pm

38 appsMagnet Team August 15, 2009 at 10:55 am

Sorry Garrett. We do not plan to build a Wiki module. We are releasing Planning module today and have two more products lined up!

Hi JBM,

We plan to release the next version of Reports module in about 2-3 weeks.

Planning Module does support localization. It does not include any translations yet, but you can use the activeCollab translation / localization feature to localize the full application interface.

Thanks!

41 JBM September 3, 2009 at 11:30 am
