It’s always more satisfying to talk with people with faces. When you can put a face to a name, you suddenly feel related. This connection helps you collaborate better.
I have worked on hundreds of projects using activeCollab, Basecamp and other solutions. Many times I have not even met the client in person. Seeing their face just makes it so much more comfortable when I next call / email them.
activeCollab allows users to upload an avatar image, but most clients won’t bother doing it. This means you will see those dull, gray default avatar icons while you work with them on your projects.
Enter acHack – Gravatar. This hack will pull avatar image from Gravatar if none found on activeCollab. It’s a little hack that makes a lot of difference.
Tickets is probably the most used aspect of activeCollab. Our latest offering – Tickets Plus – adds loads of productivity enhancements to Tickets module.
These hacks were available exclusively to Planning Module customers for over a year and we are now making them available to everyone. The hacks are available at $49 now.

We just released our latest product – Inline Pagination (for comments in activeCollab).
This module allows you to see comments from next page on current page for discussions, tickets, pages and files. You can now see all comments on single page. Quickly review them, make connections between what people said and take decisions. No back and forth / page reloads required.
This nifty little productivity enhancer will surely impress your team and client! We can promise that.

Pigeon is currently in development and available only to our existing clients.
We are building a new product. We are calling it Pigeon and here’s an early mockup.
The product will be available exclusively to our current customers (only 100 on first-come basis) before official launch.
Ok, so I just sent out an email announcement about the latest release of Planning module – version 1.4. This update provides a lot of long pending (and eagerly awaited) features and fixes many issues. we strongly recommend all customers to upgrade. And if you haven’t bought Planning module yet, you should get it right away!
We plan to update our documentation and create some more tutorial videos for Planning module in near future. Will keep you posted!

Basecamp introduced Project Templates at the start of this month. Project Templates are a great way to organize project plans and follow set processes. If your projects have similar execution plan, you can create a template project in Basecamp, define milestones, todo lists and tasks, create messages and even set due dates on milestones. This was a long pending demand from many Basecamp users and can really cut down project plan creation time if you do a lot of similar projects.
Today, we added support to manage template projects from PlannerX. You can now create full outline of your standard project plan using the friendly and efficient PlannerX interface. Save it back and use that Template Project to create new projects in Basecamp. You get best of both worlds – super quick plan setup for both template project and new projects.
The integration is not yet perfect – milestone due dates may not work as expected, Basecamp does not support due dates on todos in template projects, and you can only assign items to people in the owner company in template projects. But it’s still a big step forward!
Tip: Make it even faster! Use PlannerX bookmarklet to open template project’s plan with PlannerX right within Basecamp.

We just released the 1.7 version of Reports module. This update continues on the breakthrough 1.6 version, makes it more stable and even easier to get insightful reports about projects, people and companies from your activeCollab setup.
We have significantly improved the localization support in this version. Translated strings now show at all places and are dynamically loaded from your activeCollab.
Now even send Reminders in Spanish from Reports module. We have full localization support.
