We released 22 product updates today and this makes all our modules activeCollab 4.1.4 compatible.

Recommended Upgrade Method

• Login to My Account and download the latest version of Apps Magnet Auto Updater.
• Upgrade your activeCollab to 4.1.4. You will start getting errors from custom modules.
• Deactivate all custom modules that are not compatible with aC 4.1.4 (either Apps Magnet or other third party developers)
• Install and activate the new Apps Magnet Auto Updater.
• Download 4.1.4 compatible updates of Apps Magnet modules using Auto Updater.
• If your access to upgrades has expired, you can renew access from My Account.
• Once latest versions are installed, you can activate modules you want to use.
• Test and verify that things are working as they should!
• If you notice a problem, let us know.
• If you are using modules from other developers, download and update them as well.

Mizen (rhymes with vision), is code name for a new module we are building. In fact, I wanted to build something like it three years ago. We even built a few prototypes in 2010, 2011 and 2012, but nothing came out to public.

This time, we’re removing all the complex “features” and keeping it to the most useful essentials.

• Quickly complete, comment on or add time to your tasks
• Be available globally – from a link in left most, main menu in activeCollab

Introducing Comments Plus module for activeCollab 4!

activeCollab 3.3.0 beta was released last week and we have been working hard to make our products compatible with activeCollab 3.3.

As of now all our products are compatible with 3.3.0.

And it felt great to release 18 updates at once… It’s a record for us!!!

Another big news is that Assignments Plus module is now merged with Planning module.

If you purchased Planning module, download the latest version from our My Account area and you can start getting the benefits of assignments plus module too.

If you purchased Assignments Plus module last year, you will be given a prorated store credit in the coming week that you can use on your future purchases. The credit will be adjusted against the product price and the duration you’ve used the product.

And yes, if you only want Assignments Plus, you may continue using it. There will be no further updates to it though. Separate Assignments Plus module only works till activeCollab 3.2.12.  All updates will now go to Planning module.

PS: All our products are also compatible with activeCollab 3.2.12.

Assignments Plus module for activeCollab v1.1

We just release updates to three products – Tickets Plus, Planning and Confidential Items modules.

The Tickets Plus update solves an annoying, long time issues with email notifications. Earlier versions used to send three different email notifications when one changes the status and assignee while adding a comment to a ticket. Now you’d get only one!

We got a headstart on this when activeLabs / Nathan Sudds submitted their code to send one email even if multiple actions were performed on the comment. We enhanced that code and even added support for making a comment private or confidential. This way, you can make the comment invisible to people who don’t have access to see private items or people who are not assigned / subscribed to this ticket.

Here’s the full changelog for Tickets Plus 1.5.9

Enhancements:

• Combine email notifications of new comment, workflow status change and assignee change. Now user will get only one notification instead of three (Thanks to Nathan and activeLabs for their code contribution that served as starting point for this.)
• You can now make comments private or confidential.

Fixes:

• Call to a member function “getLanguage” on non-object
• Workflow status label break (Thanks to Fran for reporting and providing a fix for this. http://bit.ly/wwBlWs)
